Not Yet the End

Nowadays showbiz is a big issue even for teens. A teen named Martin desired to be an actor someday. Since he was a kid, he used to watch television and movies and was very acquainted with showbiz. When he grew up, he decided to join talent search. He then emerged to become victorious and his career started here.

Back in the early days, Martin’s family was not in poverty when he was young. It all started when their garden business deteriorated. Their garden was plagued by pests, so their family had no source of income. Both his parents tried to look for jobs, but they only got low paying but demanding jobs. These were the only available jobs those days. Both his parents worked very hard until both got sick. This event was unexpected. Martin has five younger siblings, so he decided to look for jobs. He became a household helper, janitor and even a factory worker.

His earnings were not enough to keep his family. He decided to join the talent search, since he likes acting and singing. He did not expect to win in this contest. His career started to bloom and many offers like commercial projects, guesting and hosting were given to him. He improved very fast and learned to live a showbiz life. In his first few years, he became very industrious and enjoyed his new job. He never quite expected this. He was able to save money and had money for the medications of his both parents. He was also able to support the education of his younger siblings. These years were prosperous for Martin and his family.

He did not notice that his fame began to eat his well-being. He was totally changed. Though he became looked well in terms of appearance, but the values in him were deteriorated. Because of his fame, he forgot to pray even just short prayers. Because of his fame, he put aside God. Because of his fame, he had friends but influenced him to be worldlier. He became hooked to vices. He regularly play at the casino spending money all night, drinking with other people, smoking cigarettes everyday and spending time with different girls he thought they were just part of his leisure. He worshipped money, for it was the key for the vices and the material things in this world. He thought this was the happiness. For him, this is heaven. He did not foresee the consequences of such actions.

The money that he saved for years was almost gone. He lost most of it in the casino and spent much for his vices. His parents then started to take less of their medication because they cannot afford. The house that became a mansion was then sold and his younger siblings stopped schooling. His career was lame and few projects were given to him. He never really expected this scenario.

“It was already late,” he said. Suddenly the sky became dark with clouds and rain poured very hard. He was wrong for God is still with him even though he ignored Him for years. God is still there and never abandoned him. Suddenly, he went crying and noticed his mistakes. He noticed the Bible in the shelf that was filled with dirt. It was not read for years. He realized God was still there. He began to read the Bible. He noticed how great God is. He allowed these things to happen to make him realize his mistakes. He turned the page of the Bible and saw this: Rom 5:3-5 "Not only so, but we[a] also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us."

At last, the rain stopped, the clouds began to disappear and the sun shone brightly.

Something about Naruto

This anime is my favorite. I like watching it. I finished watching until episode 50 of Naruto Shippuden. For me, this is a great anime because it is not just a form of entertainment. Many lessons are incorporated in this anime. In fact, I learned much from this.
Let me tell just a little background about Naruto. Naruto is the protagonist in this series. It started when he was 12 years old in the Ninja Academy. His classmates and other people thought he was worthless. He could not even perform the simple technique called shadow clone jutsu (jutsu means technique). It was then until Mizuki, a ninja of the same rank as Iruka-sensei of the Ninja Academy, fooled Naruto for his own black plan. Naruto stole the scroll from the third hokage and he learned shadow clone jutsu. It was a very long story until it came to the point that he became part of a team after graduation. He teamed-up with Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno under the guidance of Kakashi Hatake. They had many missions wherein Naruto proved his worth and sooner he was generally accepted my people.
There are many similarities between Naruto and myself. When I was young, I was also considered as an outcast. I only had few friends, but then I proved my worth. Maybe I looked like weird when I did many things just to gain attention like Naruto, but I tried to improve. I will not stop until I become better and better. I also value friendship just like Naruto. Anyway, I will just stop here before my entry becomes very dramatic.

College life

A year had passed since I enter college. It was a very tiring year for me. I did not expect it would be a very hard year. I spent much time in studying though I still had many activities other than this. I also met new friends and faces. I never expect this to be difficult, but I learned much from the experiences I had this past school year.
When I was in high school, I used to study hard though I had many activities. I joined table tennis varsity and glee club when I was in third year, I became part of the journalism circle in our school when I was in second year, I became part of painters' club and dance troupe when I was in fourth year. The two most extracurricular achievements I had were being the president of agriculture club and being one of the major characters in a school play. I really miss those days.
I planned to do better this college by starting much activities when I enter college while studying more, but things did not come out the way I want. I got fairly low grades last semester, and worse, my health deteriorated. I became more prawn to sickness. This second semester I tried to take care of my health while having some other activities. I lessened my time staying up late, lessened cramming, lessened eating unhealthful food, and lessened pressure. I had not seen my grades yet, but I hope it would somehow higher than my first semester grades.
This summer I plan to take summer classes and look for a part-time job for students. I want to start saving money for the future. It will be an advantage to be prepared rather than just be arrogant and enjoy life too much.
